20 Eco-Friendly Products That Are Worth Your Money

1- ECO Lunch Box Bento Box

My kids have used this bento box for school lunches over the past year and it has held up great! It takes up about half of a standard size lunch box. I prefer this to other pre-portioned bento boxes on the market because it allows for flexibility.

I talk more about the kids’ zero waste lunch kit in a separate post. Imagine how many plastic sandwich bags I’ve saved over the past year!

2- ECOLunchBox Stainless Steel Snack Containers

In combination with the bento box above, these snack boxes have been super convenient when on the go with little kids. It’s easy to throw something healthy into one of these snack containers and be on our way. Having these on hand makes it easy to go green avoiding other prepackaged items in the grocery store.

3- Kleen Kanteen Stainless Steel 12 oz. Water Bottle

Another great option for the kids when on the go. I don’t know if you are familiar with many kid’s cups on the market, but they usually come with a plastic straw that gets moldy and gross over time. No need to worry about that here with this guy!

4- Kleen Kanteen Stainless Steel Water Bottle

I use a larger Kleen Kanteen for myself. I’ve brought it with me almost every day to work and I usually have it with me at all times. I love that it’s durable and not made with stainless steel.

5- Contigo SnapSeal Twist Seal Travel Mug

Another thing that I almost always have with me is this Contigo travel mug. I’ve tried several trendy travel cups and always come back to this one. It doesn’t leak or spill, which is very important to me!

This mug has gotten a lot of miles over the past year. Did you know that most coffee cups are not recyclable? Yep, true story. You can read more about the problem with paper coffee cups in a separate post.

6- Bruhen Stainless Steel French Press

Switching over to a french press has been a game changer for me. Not only does the coffee taste better (in my opinion) but it also eliminates the need for additional supplies like coffee filters, K-cups, etc. Read more about why I switched to french press coffee.

7- Stainless Steel Tea Infuser

Did you know that most tea bags are actually made with microplastic? Yuck. One simple solution to this problem is to use loose leaf tea. I’ve found this single serve tea strainer to be super convenient!

8- Lodge Cast Iron Skillet

In all honesty, I was intimidated by cast iron for a long time. I knew that it was a good alternative but I didn’t really understand why. I have to tell you that I now prefer to cook with cast iron and I use this skillet every day. It’s definitely worth the investment!
